Purple Sticky Rice is also known as Black Thai Rice is native to Thailand. Purple sticky rice has a sweet flavor, and sticky texture, and cooks up to a beautiful, shiny, indigo color. It pairs well with seafood and pork. Excellent for stuffing pork loins or as a side dish for fish and seafood entrees. Purple Sticky Rice can be used in timbales and makes a striking plate presentation for sushi, salads, coconut shrimp, and even rice pudding!

This rice is traditionally used as dessert rice in Thailand. It also makes excellent stuffing and side dishes.
Recommended Preparation Instructions:
Bring 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 35-40 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes; fluff with a fork before serving.
One cup dry yields 2 cups cooked.
