Description:

Parboiled Brown Rice is a healthy alternative to white rice.  While the hull of the brown rice is removed, the bran and germ remain intact making it a more nutritious choice than unfortified white rice. Parboiling results in a grain fluffy and separate; brown rice holds well on a steam table and pairs well with most meat, seafood, and chicken entrees.

Recommended Preparation Instructions:

Combine ingredients. Bring to a boil, stir, and cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 40-45 minutes or desired tenderness. Let stand 5 minutes and fluff with a fork.

One cup dry yields 3 - 3½ cups cooked.
