Cajun Dirty Rice Blend is a blend of golden-colored rice with green and red herbs and spices. Used in traditional Southern-style cooking, this mix of herbs, spices, vegetables, and aromatics makes it easy to duplicate the authentic flavors.
Ingredient Statement:
Rice, kaniwa, bell peppers, salt, contains 2% or less of onion, celery, spices, paprika, canola oil, garlic, cayenne pepper, sugar.
Cook and serve as a side dish or add sliced sausage and red beans for a unique Creole-style dish. Delicious when used as base rice for jambalaya or hoppin' john, or as a bed for shrimp creole or crawfish etouffee.
Recommended Preparation Instructions:
Bring 2 cups of water or sock, 1 Tbsp. butter and cup of Cajun Dirty Rice to a boil. Stir, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, until rice is tender, about 14 to 18 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
