Chieftain’s Horseradish Powder offers an explosive burst of horseradish taste and aroma. This fiery hot and pungent powder is made from grated and crushed horseradish. The cells break down and produce mustard oil (allyl isothiocyanate) which in turn creates the spicy aroma and intense flavor. Horseradish has been a cultivated plant dating back to Ancient Egypt that was used medicinally as well as for food. Horseradish is popular in many sushi bars and a favorite for Easter celebrations. 

Ingredient Statement:

Horseradish, Mustard, Corn Starch, may contain less than 1% of Citric Acid, Ascorbic Acid.

Use as is to flavor breadings, or rehydrate to use in a variety of dishes. Give a kick to potato dishes or add a tang to various sauces. Add it to prepared horseradish to increase the heat.
