Jerk is from the Spanish word 'charqui', the flavorful dried or grilled meat made in the Caribbean over open flames which impart a smoky flavor to the meat. Warm and spicy with a hint of sweetness and tart after tones, our Jamaican Jerk seasoning contains all the key flavors of 'charqui' such as allspice, thyme, and chiles. Use Jamaican Jerk seasoning to make your own marinades and sauces or rub on meat before cooking for the warm, smoky flavor!

Ingredient Statement:

Spices, Sugar, Salt, Paprika, Crushed Red Peppers, Sodium Diacetate, Canola Oil, Minced Garlic, Minced Onion, Caramel Color, Citric Acid, Silicon Dioxide (anti-caking agent), Turmeric, Natural Flavor. (Contains Mustard).

Rub meats before cooking with Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, for enhanced flavor, rub on meats then wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 20 minutes to allow the flavor to absorb into the meat, remove the plastic and cook. Use in marinades and soak the meat overnight to impart flavor. Cook slowly on the grill until meat is done.
