HAZELNUT BRITTLE
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 2 Teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts

 

Lightly butter or grease a cookie sheet.  In small saucepan combine the sugar, water and lemon juice.  Cook over high heat until amber in color.  Remove from heat and add toasted hazelnuts.  Pour gently onto cookie sheet and allow to cool.  Carefully crack brittle with knife and serve!
