Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in skillet, add onions and saute for 2 minutes, add garlic and continue cooking until onions are translucent. In bowl combine apple pieces, egg, beef, pork, onion and garlic mixture, wild rice and maple apple seasoning. Mix thoroughly, season with salt and pepper. Roll mixture into medium size meatballs. Brown meatballs in 1 tablespoon of butter, turning carefully so they don't break apart. While meatballs are cooking add wine and chicken stock to saucepan and boil until reduced by half. Pour liquid over meatballs and continue cooking until done. Skim off fat from leftover juices in the pan, thicken and use as sauce.
